However, because of the protests of city public company had to refuse from construction of high-rise buildings on the Okhta and buy a plot of land in lachta on the shore of the Gulf of Finland area of 140 thousand square meters. At the end of this summer permission has been granted for the construction of the skyscraper.
"The construction will be gradual. Skyscraper is the most long-lasting construction... I think, until the middle of October we will come to the site, because there are no legal and technical problems", - said General Director Alexander Bobkov journalists, adding that the height of the skyscraper will be 463 meters.
According to him, the second stage of construction will start within a year. Enter in the operation of the whole complex of "Lahti center" area of 334 thousand square meters, the company plans to spring 2018.
Alexander Bobkov not called total cost of the centre, noting that investments in the construction are estimated at 2,5-3,5 thousand dollars per square meter. At that, according to him, the cost of "Lahti center" will be considerably cheaper than the planned complex at Okhta.
