In the meantime scale building already had opponents: inhabitants of a valley of Suza where there will be an input in the tunnel from the Italian party, act categorically against government plans, declaring that the irreparable damage will be caused to ecology of their region. The authorities reject vigorously these statements, promising that the valley nature won't suffer.
The longest for today the tunnel in the world is dug through also near the Alpes. The engineering construction laid under hills of Gottar, reaches in length of 57 kilometers.
