Joint American-Swedish enterprise Plantagon International which advances agricultural technologies in the conditions of a city, has started to build the first-ever skyscraper-hothouse. To finish its construction it is planned in 2013. This skyscraper will be called «the International center of skill of city agriculture», and it will take place in the Swedish city of Linkoping.
This construction is supposed to be used for testing of different city agricultural technologies, including concepts of "vertical agriculture» which is developed by the company.
All vegetables grown up in a skyscraper-hothouse will take place in special pallets which will move on a spiral from the top part of a structure to its ground floors in process of their ripening.
